Position Summary
In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Fixture Assembler is responsible for reading designs and guiding a team of assistants to assemble checking fixtures. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Assembler ensures first-time quality is a priority each time while adhering to health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize the work area of components and details
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for fixtures
- The use of hand tools to secure measure and assemble fixtures
- Ability to run Bridgeport, Lathe, and Grinding machines
- Help maintain 5S standards of cleanliness/ safety.
- Setup/ teardown workpieces, check the condition of tooling, and replace when necessary.
- Fill out checklists for quality and inspect, and report deviation from standards to the leader.
- Assist in the department for required grinding and machining
- Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following the manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 3-5 years of related experience as a fixture builder
- Ability to read blueprints and operation of general machining
- Knowledge of Tool/Mold Making an asset
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently and as a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills
