About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Manager with strong expertise in Canadian taxation to join our team. This is a leadership role with opportunities for career advancement and meaningful client impact.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Collaborating closely with all Partners and other senior staff on business tax compliance and advisory engagements.
  • Acting proactively in a leadership capacity to guarantee the delivery of high-quality tax services.
  • Performing and evaluating technical research, along with formulating tax planning recommendations.
  • Prepare/Review corporate reorganization structures and memo.
  • Reviewing Complex Canadian personal, corporate, and trust tax returns, information returns and forms, prescribed tax election forms, and additional tax-related work completed by staff members.
  • Providing support and mentorship to firm personnel on tax-related issues.
  • Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and collaborate on business development initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance client services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in tax
  • At lest 4 years of experience in a public accounting firm as a tax specialist or tax manager
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
  • Enrolment or completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or Masters of Tax Program an asset
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client service skills
