Job Title: Continental Chef
Location: Canada ( Nova Scotia) for 5* Hotel
Role Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a wide variety of continental dishes to meet the culinary standards of the establishment.
  • Create and develop innovative and seasonal menus that align with the restaurant's vision.
  • Oversee kitchen operations and manage all aspects of food preparation.
  • Ensure all food is prepared following health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of food supplies.
  • Assist in training kitchen staff and mentoring junior chefs.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and coordinate special events.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization to adhere to sanitation standards.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any dietary requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food items before serving.
  • Control food costs and manage waste to maintain the kitchen's budget.
  • Experiment with new ingredients and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
  • Manage food allergies and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
  • Prepare daily reports on food production and kitchen performance.
  • Promote team synergy by fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a chef in a continental cuisine setting.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and cuisines.
