About OHBA

The Ontario Home Builders' Association (OHBA) represents the residential construction industry across Ontario. We support builders, renovators, and industry professionals through advocacy, education, events, and member services.

The Opportunity

OHBA is seeking an Events Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of high-quality events, sponsorships, and partnerships that serve our members and industry partners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and delivering meaningful experiences in a fast-paced, purpose-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Delivery

  • Support the planning and execution of OHBA events including conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, and regional events
  • Coordinate logistics such as venues, catering, audiovisual needs, registrations, and on-site support
  • Assist with event agendas, speaker coordination, and attendee engagement
  • Provide on-site event coordination and customer service during events

Sponsorship and Partnership Support

  • Assist with the development and delivery of OHBA sponsorship programs
  • Support sponsorship coordination, agreements, and fulfillment of deliverables
  • Maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners
  • Prepare post-event summaries and ROI reports for sponsors

Collaboration and Member Support

  • Work closely with internal teams including communications, policy, and training to provide logistical, planning, and direct delivery support
  • Support collaboration with OHBA's local home builders' associations
  • Assist with aligning events to member needs and organizational objectives

Budget and Reporting

  • Assist with tracking event budgets and expenses
  • Support post-event evaluations including financial results and participant feedback

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum three years of experience in event coordination or delivery
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with event management software and Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Association Management Systems (iMIS) is an asset
