Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator - Alcan Products

Starting Pay: $20/hourly

Location: Surrey, BC

Alcan Products is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator to join our growing team. This position involves hands-on fabrication, assembly, and finishing of various custom sheet metal projects. We are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications.
  • Operate tools and machinery such as shears, brakes, rollers, and plasma cutters.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure and inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in shop maintenance and organization.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Follow all workplace safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and using fabrication tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety and teamwork.
  • Completion of a Sheet Metal Worker apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred.
