Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in appliance repair, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household and commercial appliances, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service. The Appliance Technician will play a vital role in delivering high-quality repairs and providing excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with appliances using schematics and technical manuals
  • Repair and replace faulty components in appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, and HVAC units
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs adhering to safety standards and industry best practices
  • Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately identify problems
  • Assemble appliances or parts as needed for repair or installation projects
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, answer questions, and provide maintenance advice
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used
  • Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in appliance repair or related electrical/mechanical fields
  • Strong electrical knowledge and familiarity with schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Experience working with HVAC systems is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately
  • Knowledge of assembly processes for appliances or related equipment is desirable
  • Valid driver's license preferred for travel between service locations
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
