Cochrane Family Vision is a locally owned and operated optometrist clinic, owned by Drs. Ian and Sallie Barclay, Dr. Jonah Gilham, and Dr. Zoe Stein. We are a high-tech, full-scope family practice dedicated to delivering exceptional optometric care and quality products in a warm, welcoming environment.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Full-Time Optician or Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing outstanding customer service, thrives in a team-oriented setting, and enjoys building relationships with patients.

Experience (trained/certified Optician or Optometric Assistant) is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right person

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on their prescription, needs, and lifestyle
  • Perform frame adjustments and provide ongoing patient care and support
  • Ensure each patient has a friendly and personalized experience

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time or part-time (30–40 hours/week)
  • Shift Length: 6–8 hour
  • Clinic Hours:
  • Monday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
