Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a diverse range of heavy equipment, including Vermeer and other brands. If you are a self-starter with strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and you thrive in a customer-focused environment, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures or malfunctions to minimize customer downtime.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all customer equipment as scheduled.
  • Review and implement factory service bulletins and other relevant information to keep equipment updated.
  • Maintain a professional presence that reflects the high value we place on customer service.
  • Clearly explain technical issues to customers in a tactful manner and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Prepare accurate job estimates in line with work schedules and promised completion dates.
  • Stay familiar with the practical operation of all equipment to ensure efficient and effective service.

What We Are Looking For

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proven track record of producing high-quality work.
  • Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Apprentice, Licensed 301, 310T or 421A is preferred.
  • Experience with Vermeer, Cat, John Deere, Ditch Witch, and other Horizontal Drilling equipment is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
