Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a diverse range of heavy equipment, including Vermeer and other brands. If you are a self-starter with strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and you thrive in a customer-focused environment, this role is for you.
What You Will Do
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures or malfunctions to minimize customer downtime.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance on all customer equipment as scheduled.
- Review and implement factory service bulletins and other relevant information to keep equipment updated.
- Maintain a professional presence that reflects the high value we place on customer service.
- Clearly explain technical issues to customers in a tactful manner and ensure their satisfaction.
- Prepare accurate job estimates in line with work schedules and promised completion dates.
- Stay familiar with the practical operation of all equipment to ensure efficient and effective service.
What We Are Looking For
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Detail-oriented, with a proven track record of producing high-quality work.
- Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Apprentice, Licensed 301, 310T or 421A is preferred.
- Experience with Vermeer, Cat, John Deere, Ditch Witch, and other Horizontal Drilling equipment is a plus.
- Valid driver's license is required.

No travel is expected of this position.
