The Role

As Head Chief, you'll be the backbone of daily kitchen operations — ensuring food quality, consistency, and efficiency. You'll support and inspire your team while executing dishes that reflect our brand's standards for flavor, presentation, and hospitality. You'll also work closely with leadership to help streamline prep systems, uphold safety standards, and train new kitchen staff as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to company standards.
  • Train, supervise, and support kitchen team members to maintain consistency and efficiency.
  • Oversee prep lists, station setup, and food production schedules.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
  • Support inventory management, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Monitor portion control, minimize waste, and support cost management initiatives.
  • Execute menu items with precision and passion, upholding brand and recipe standards.
  • Communicate effectively with FOH management to ensure smooth service.
  • Support the Chef and management team in implementing new menu items, seasonal features, and LTOs.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Sous Chef or Head Cook preferred).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and growth.
  • Red Seal certification or culinary education an asset (not required).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
