Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients and residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring assistance in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support meal preparation and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Document patient care activities and report any changes in health status to nursing staff.
  • Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
  • Offer support for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through compassionate interaction.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
  • Strong background in patient care and senior care practices.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
  • Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs.
