The Janitorial Shift Leader is responsible for on-site supervision of a small team of janitorial staff at the Communitas Provincial Office and other locations, as well as performing hands-on janitorial duties.1 Part-Time position availableHere's what we need from you:Grade 12 level education is preferredA philosophy of service that is in line with Communitas' Vision, Mission and ValuesFamiliar with and able to implement 'Spirit of Gentleness' principlesMust be physically able to perform job duties >including ability to lift up to 50 lbsStrong supervision and interpersonal skills, highly energetic and highly motivatedAbility to model appropriate behaviour (conduct, performance, concern for people, morale, work performance standards, appearance, professionalism, ethics and personal integrity)Excellent teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently without supervisionAbility to take initiative and instruct staff on any extra cleaning or special work neededExperience working with janitorial equipment including floor scrubbers & MegaVac 7141Possession of WHMIS certificate or willingness to obtainPossession of a valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR (must maintain valid certification)Possession of a valid Class 5 BC drivers licenseHere's what you can expect:Shifts are: Three 3-hour shifts between the hours of 4pm and 8pm, and two 5-1/2 hour shifts between the hours of 3pm and 9pm weekdays.Competitive wagesGenerous benefits package for full-time employeesOpportunity for growthOn-the-job training and supportSalary:$ $21.37 per hour
