About the Role
We're looking for a creative storyteller to help take Kent & Essex Mutual's brand and social presence to the next level As our Marketing & Brand Specialist, you'll bring our community-focused values to life through engaging content, eye-catching design, and strategic marketing campaigns — in both digital and print.
You'll work closely with our Business Development Manager to grow brand awareness and strengthen our connection with the communities we serve. This is a hybrid role, with 2–3 days a week in-office and the flexibility to work remotely. If you're passionate about creativity, community, and making an impact — we'd love to hear from you
Specific Duties
- Develop and execute a creative, data-driven annual marketing plan.
- Champion the Kent & Essex Mutual brand — ensuring every message and visual is consistent, engaging, and community-focused.
- Create and share optimized, shareable content across our website, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Manage a digital content calendar that aligns with brand campaigns, driving traffic and growing our online presence.
- Write clear, compelling copy and creative briefs for visuals, video, and digital content.
- Deliver polished content — accurate, on-brand, and error-free.
- Stay on top of social media trends and insurance industry insights to keep our content relevant.
- Track campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
- Help showcase our brand by coordinating, preparing for and attending trade shows with our team.
Skills & Requirements
- A degree or diploma in business, marketing, advertising, graphic design, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar marketing or brand-focused role.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Familiarity with website analytics, SEO, and tools like Google Analytics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated — with a knack for managing multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to post and monitor social content outside regular business hours when needed.
- Experience creating and editing marketing materials (like newsletters and promotional content).
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams to achieve shared goals.
- Sound budget awareness and the ability to work within set parameters.
- A professional, ethical approach — handling all tasks with integrity and confidentiality.
