Le Jardin des Découvertes is a French daycare that follows a French-based program and child-centered philosophy. Our daycare offers a program in which the child grows and develops intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Our curriculum fosters opportunities for children to develop their French language skills and acquire an appreciation for the French Canadian culture through various activities.

Duties:

  • Help to develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, preparing crafts, and promoting physical play
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits (including toileting and diapering infants and toddlers)
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and prepare daily reports.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Summary

As a RECE/Childcare Worker, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for children. Reporting to the Childcare Supervisor, your core skills in caregiving and experience with children will be essential in supporting their development. Your premium skills in early childhood education and classroom experience will enhance learning opportunities, while your ability to communicate effectively, including proficiency in French, will facilitate positive interactions with children and families. Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a caregiving capacity

Pay: From $24.86 per hour
