Overview

Position: Cabinet & Millwork Installer

Company: Diker Contracting Inc.

Project Types: Residential & Commercial

Work Style: Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, capable of working independently

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet and/or finish millwork installation
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with both residential and commercial projects preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Tool Proficiency: Table saw, mitre saw, drills, laser levels, pneumatic nailers, scribing tools
  • Installation Expertise: Cabinet hanging, leveling, scribing, shimming, and hardware installation
  • Material Knowledge: Solid wood, plywood, MDF, veneers, and various finishing materials
  • Finish Work: Trim installation, crown molding, panelling, and custom built-ins

Safety & Professionalism:

  • Follow all WorkSafeBC rules and site safety regulations
  • Proper use of PPE (hard hat, safety boots, vest, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times
  • Ability to follow site-specific safety policies
  • Punctual, reliable, and maintains professional conduct on job sites
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to various job sites
  • Own tools and transportation (preferred for subcontractors)

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in various physical positions
  • Ability to work full-time hours with potential for overtime as needed
