Job Summary

Join the VP Disposal team as a Roll Off Driver and play a crucial role in our waste management operations. As a Roll Off Driver, you will be responsible for capable of handling a variety of tasks, with a minimum of 2 years experience. Must have a valid class 3 driver's license with an air brake endorsement and a clean driving record. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Roll Off Driver to join our team and use their skills in a fast-paced and growing industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting roll-off containers to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and commercial driving, as well as the ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.

Duties

  • Operate roll-off trucks to transport containers for waste management or recycling purposes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and service logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and service requirements.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving in various conditions.
  • Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
  • Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving, particularly with roll-off trucks or similar heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and waste management practices is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
