Wall to Wall is looking for a full-time lead hand cabinet maker to work in our cabinet shop.

Roles and responsibilities of the job:

  • Fabricate / assemble custom cabinets and mill-work components.

  • Fabricate laminate counters.

  • Assemble cabinets using European sliding and pocket door hardware.

  • CNC and edge banding operation.

  • Trouble shoot any issues that come up through out the job.

  • Assemble cabinets using Blum Aventos and Movento hardware with servo drive options.

  • Assemble cabinets using custom hardware inserts, e.g. Magic Corner, Le Mann's, Vauth-Sagel.

  • Will be responsible for overseeing two full time employees.

  • Sanding all wood parts and preparing jobs for spray booth.

  • Preparing projects for shipping. Wrapping cabinet and millwork parts and ensuring jobs are completed and ready for shipping.

Required work experience and skills:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 year experience in the cabinet and millwork industry.

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership or management role.

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with fork lift operation.

  • Extreme attention to detail.

  • Must be able to use all types of wood working equipment to cut, shape and form wood components.

  • Must have experience using CNC routers and edge banders.

  • Must be able to use all types of hand tools to cut, shape and form wood components.

  • Knowledge of Imperial and Metric units of measure and how to accurately convert between the two.

  • Must be able to read house plans, architectural drawings, and kitchen plans.

  • Fundamental understanding of the properties of solid wood and manufactured wood products.

  • Fundamental understanding of how to work with wood veneers, laminates, and panel products.

  • A complete understanding of how to use and apply different wood joinery techniques.

  • A complete understanding of the finishing process.
