Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, sales, and merchandising, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This role involves managing transactions, assisting customers with product inquiries, and maintaining an organized store environment. Bilingual skills and experience in technology sales or product demos are a plus. The Store Clerk plays a vital role in driving sales through effective communication, upselling, and excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions
  • Perform cashier duties including ringing up sales, processing returns, and managing cash accurately
  • Conduct product demos and provide technical sales support when necessary
  • Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities
  • Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately
  • Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Use strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers, including bilingual interactions if applicable
  • Demonstrate time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising, and retail operations is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain store presentation
  • Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features confidently
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
  • Good phone etiquette for handling inquiries over the phone or online communication channels
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
