Human Resources Generalist
We are looking for a
Human Resources Generalist
to manage all HR activities for our organization. This is a
stand-alone HR role
, responsible for the full employee lifecycle, payroll, compliance, and daily HR operations. The position works closely with the
General Manager and Vice President
.
This role is hands-on and requires independence, good judgment, and the ability to support both employees and management in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll, Benefits & Compliance
- Manage bi-weekly payroll for all employees using
Ceridian (Dayforce & Powerpay) - Administer group insurance and employee benefits
- Handle year-end payroll requirements (T4, RL-1, CNESST, Revenu Québec, employer reports)
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data
- Ensure compliance with Quebec labour laws and regulations
- Stay up to date on legislative changes and recommend improvements
Health & Safety
- Coordinate Health & Safety activities and support the H&S Committee
- Manage CNESST claims, accident reports, and follow-ups
- Maintain Health & Safety records and required documentation
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Work with managers to define hiring needs and job profiles
- Post job openings, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews
- Prepare employment offers and contracts
- Coordinate onboarding and support new employee integration
Employee Relations & Performance
- Act as the main HR contact for employee questions
- Support managers with performance management and documentation
- Assist with disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations
- Support conflict resolution and employee relations matters
- Communicate HR policies and internal updates
Policies, Training & HR Support
- Create and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
- Coordinate training and ensure compliance with the 1% Training Law
- Support performance evaluation processes
- Track HR metrics and prepare basic HR reports
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role
- Experience in Payroll
- Experience recruiting for warehouse positions
- Good knowledge of Quebec labour laws, CNESST, and payroll compliance
- Fully bilingual in
French and English - Organized, discreet, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working closely with senior leadership

Responsabilités principales
Paie, avantages sociaux et conformité
- Gérer la paie aux deux semaines à l'aide de
Ceridian (Dayforce et Powerpay) - Administrer les assurances collectives et les avantages sociaux
- Gérer les obligations de fin d'année (T4, RL-1, CNESST, Revenu Québec, rapports employeur)
- Maintenir les dossiers employés et les données RH à jour
- Assurer la conformité aux lois du travail du Québec
- Suivre les changements législatifs et recommander des améliorations
Santé et sécurité
- Coordonner les activités en santé et sécurité et soutenir le comité SST
- Gérer les réclamations CNESST, déclarations d'accidents et suivis
- Maintenir la documentation et les registres requis
Recrutement et intégration
- Collaborer avec les gestionnaires pour définir les besoins d'embauche
- Afficher les postes, faire la présélection et coordonner les entrevues
- Préparer les offres d'emploi et les contrats
- Coordonner l'accueil et l'intégration des nouveaux employés
Relations de travail et performance
- Agir comme personne-ressource RH pour les employés
- Soutenir les gestionnaires en gestion de la performance
- Appuyer les processus disciplinaires et les enquêtes
- Contribuer à la résolution de conflits et aux relations de travail
- Assurer les communications RH internes
Politiques, formation et soutien RH
- Développer et mettre à jour les politiques, procédures et le manuel des employés
- Coordonner la formation et assurer la conformité à la Loi du 1 %
- Soutenir les évaluations de performance
- Suivre les indicateurs RH et préparer des rapports
Profil recherché
- Au moins 5 ans d'expérience en RH généraliste
- Expérience obligatoire en paie
- Expérience en recrutement en manufacturier
- Bonne connaissance des lois du travail du Québec et de la CNESST
- Bilingue français / anglais
- Autonome, organisé(e) et discret(ète)
- À l'aise de travailler avec la direction
