About the Opportunity

FIN IP Group is looking for a recent graduate or seasoned professional to support our work in intellectual property valuations, royalty rate analysis, M&A due diligence, market research, transactions, etc. This role will suit a detail-oriented individual who demonstrates initiative, intellect, independence, and resourcefulness.

FIN IP Group's rapidly growing team is based in Ottawa, Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Build dynamic financial models using best practices
  • Financial analysis of public and private companies
  • Conduct general research
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations
  • Write reports
  • Interface with clients via email and other methods

About You:

  • Must be located in Ottawa
  • Willing to work 5-days in the office
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Must be able to travel to the United States without a Visa
  • Significant experience conducting research and due diligence
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience in the financial analysis of companies
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Organized and detail-oriented, independent, and resourceful
  • Critical thinker

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of relevant work experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or law-related fields
  • Excel and financial modeling experience
  • Strong writing skills
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

Assets:

  • Completed or significant progress towards a CFA, CPA, CBV, etc.
  • Completed Advanced Financial Modeller (AFM) accreditation
  • Master's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or law
  • Big 4 consulting experience
