Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing data to support the organization's financial operations.

Duties:

- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process

  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers

  • Calculate capital assets and amortization

  • Accurately record payables and receivables

  • Process payroll

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements

  • Prepare monthly or quarterly financial statements

  • File government remittance (GST, PST, WCB, ROE)

  • Prepare other internal financial reports

Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

  • 1-3 years experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports

  • Hospitality or rental industry-related experience is an asset

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Sage

  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations

  • Familliar with Sage accounting software is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,130.23-$50,000.00 per year
