Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Consultant to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your expertise will help diagnose vehicle issues, recommend appropriate repairs, and coordinate service appointments while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
  • Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and transparently
  • Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating and service writing software
  • Upsell additional maintenance or repairs that enhance vehicle safety and performance while respecting customer budgets
  • Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
  • Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and work orders

Skills

  • Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management
  • Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repairs across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
  • Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes
  • Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes and tire services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
