We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This role involves performing repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The Automotive Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through expert service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair automotive issues using mechanical knowledge, hand tools, power tools, and schematics
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
  • Conduct complex repairs including engine diagnostics, transmission work, and electrical system troubleshooting
  • Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and the use of appropriate safety equipment
  • Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
  • Support team members with technical guidance and mentorship when required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, preferably with dealership experience
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
  • Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs and build trust with clients
  • Knowledge of automotive repair best practices and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
  • Certification from an accredited automotive program
