Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The Automotive Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through expert service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using mechanical knowledge, hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Conduct complex repairs including engine diagnostics, transmission work, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and the use of appropriate safety equipment
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Support team members with technical guidance and mentorship when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, preferably with dealership experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs and build trust with clients
- Knowledge of automotive repair best practices and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
- Certification from an accredited automotive program
