Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This role involves developing and executing engaging digital content across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and support our e-commerce initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, graphic design, and analytics, with a passion for staying current with social media trends and tools. Duties
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies aligned with company goals across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Create compelling visual content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and graphic design principles
- Conduct keyword research to optimize content for SEO and increase organic reach
- Manage social media scheduling using tools like Hootsuite and Buffer to ensure consistent posting schedules
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using Google Analytics and platform insights; prepare reports to inform future campaigns
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely manner
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align social media content with broader digital marketing efforts including Facebook Advertising campaigns
- Proofread all content for accuracy, tone, and brand consistency before publishing
- Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging tools to continuously improve social media presence
Experience
- Proven experience in digital marketing or social media management, preferably within e-commerce of atleast 3 years, most recent
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite for content creation
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and keyword research techniques
- Knowledge of Facebook Advertising and other paid social media campaigns such as Meta, Instagram and google
- Familiarity with Google Analytics for tracking performance metrics
- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in content editing
- Ability to analyze data insights to optimize campaigns effectively

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$27.02 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON L5N 2X7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
