Dental Assistant

As a full time Certified Dental Assistant (Level II) in Toronto, ON, you will play a crucial role in our dental team. You will assist our skilled dentists and dental hygienists in providing outstanding patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.
Schedule:
Monday 9:30-6:30pm-Thursday 9:30-6:30pm
Alternate Fridays 9am-3:00pm
Alternate Saturdays 8am-2:00pm

Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist dentists during various dental treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Sterilize and arrange dental instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient records.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims.
- Adhere to strict infection control procedures.
- Assist during dental emergencies and administer basic life support if needed.
- Stay updated on dental technology and procedures through continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Dental Assistant
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in dental software and office management systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality
