Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Education Counsellor located in Scarborough, ON. The Education Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students through their academic and career choices, providing information on available programs and courses, and assisting with the enrollment process. Other responsibilities include counseling prospective students, addressing their concerns, maintaining detailed records of consultations, and identifying suitable solutions to meet their educational needs. The role involves liaising with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure a seamless student experience.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills
- Proficiency in student advising, career guidance, and academic support
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office, and familiarity with tools used in academic counseling
- Knowledge of educational programs, policies, and enrollment processes
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an educational setting
- Professional attitude, empathy, and a student-centered approach
- Experience in the education sector or counseling field is a plus
