About The Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our growing team

The Shipper/Receiver is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing product (apparel and promotional items). This role is instrumental in keeping our production team organized and ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled on time and in perfect condition. This role also includes some light driving duties and the successful candidate will hold a valid Class 5 license in addition to a clean driver's abstract.

Shipping & Receiving:

You will receive, count, and label incoming product, review packing slips along with order information for accuracy, and prep orders for production. You will also coordinate outgoing shipments via Purolator and Canada Post while making certain that all completed orders are organized, neatly packed, and labelled before leaving the shop. Daily communication with the Sales Coordinator will be imperative, with both roles acting as liaisons between the Sales and Production departments. The Sales Coordinator will assist you in sorting out any potential discrepancies or inaccuracies with purchase orders and, as needed, will directly communicate with members of the Sales Team on your behalf.

Online Stores:

A big aspect of our business includes hosting Online Stores for schools, teams, and corporate clients where customers can order individual pieces which can then be shipped directly to their homes. For these stores, the Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for sorting and folding decorated garments, bagging completed orders, and creating individual shipping labels for direct-to-home delivery.

Delivery Driving:

While we do ship a majority of our orders, there are still occasional local deliveries that may be required in order to meet tight deadlines or in situations where delivery to nearby locations makes more sense than shipping. That being said, the bulk of daily driving responsibilities will more often entail bringing product to and from our vendors/suppliers or picking up supplies for the shop.

Additional Duties:

The Shipper/Receiver will be solely responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the shipping/receiving area, maintaining an organized and safe work space. The role will also assist with our Vendor Managed Inventory offering, which includes picking and pulling product directly from a client's on-site inventory to fulfill order requests as they come in. As time allows, this role will also assist other areas of production from time to time with various tasks such as stacking and organizing garments as they are being produced.

The Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrates a diligent work ethic, adapts quickly between tasks, and takes initiative to ship orders efficiently under tight deadlines

• Is able to lift boxes (up to 40 lbs) often and stand for extended periods

• Possesses basic computer and inventory management skills

• Maintains a high standard of excellence with a keen eye for detail

• Keeps a clean and organized workspace but is also willing to get their hands dirty

• Collaborates as a team player, with tactful communication skills and a willingness to learn

• Has previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse work (apparel industry an asset)
