The Retest - Plant Operator will be responsible for the handling and movement of cylinders of Medical, Industrial and Speciality Gases all sizes, make them ready and supply to the customers at the right time and qualit invite you to join us and become an integral part of our exceptional teamThis position consists of maintaining cylinders in a safe way to satisfy customer expectations and improve quality of operations, while promoting ALC's quality, safety and environmental objectives.
Constant bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting and handling high pressure cylinders over the allocated work hours while following Air Liquides safety requirements
Ensures cylinders maintenance: Install valves. Replaces defective safeties, stems, packing nuts and handles on cylinder valves. Prepares cylinders for shot blasting by scraping of decals. Inspects cylinders that have been shot blasted and segregates damaged cylinders for repair.
Assesses cylinders for testing: Operating valving/devalving equipment, Using borescope to inspect the interior. Operation of shot blast equipment, operation of painting equipment. Strong understanding of cylinder sorting requirements is an asset.
Perform quality tests like, proper labeling, proper painting of cylinder and barcoding and release quality product meeting deadlines
Maintains a clean work area and any other area which may be assigned.
Prepare, inspect, set up, monitor and operate retest centre equipment.
Communicate with maintenance and management on issues concerning cylinders and equipment in proper channel
Maintain and improve efficiency standards through teamwork.

Diploma: High school diploma
Training: Quality System (ISO), safety, forklift truck & electric pallet jack.
Knowledge: Compressed gases, written and oral communication skills, mathematical skills, handling and transporting dangerous materials
Continuous handling and movement of 50lb is necessary.
TDG certification & WHMIS would be an asset
Experience : 3 to 5 years of experience in the industrial sector
