The FAI HR Practice Lead plays a key role in structuring, supporting, and continuously improving this function. As an expert advisor, you will support team members in project execution, skills development, and alignment with internal and external best practices.

What you will accomplish with us

As Head of HR Mergers, Acquisitions, and Integrations, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are your main responsibilities:

Practice leadership

You will be responsible for bringing the HR M&A&I practice to life on a daily basis, ensuring its visibility, consistency, and ability to deliver with rigor and agility.

Provide ongoing support to team members (coaching, complex case resolution, arbitration)

Ensure consistency of practices across projects, sectors, and geographies (Canada/United States)

Collaborate with HR centers of expertise to align deliverables

Structuring and continuous improvement

You will be responsible for structuring the tools, methods, and standards of HR FAI practice, ensuring their development and adoption.

Develop and maintain the HR FAI toolbox (models, templates, benchmarks)

Contribute to updating the FAI HR guide (playbook) and documenting processes

Identify opportunities for improvement, propose solutions, and lead targeted initiatives

Collaboration and strategic alignment

You will act as a cross-functional point of contact to ensure the alignment of FAI projects with other HR functions and business partners.

Participate in FAI coordination committees and HR governance bodies

Support the integration of FAI practices into the VPTC's strategic roadmaps

Contribute to strategic monitoring and the evolution of HR practices in the context of integration

What could accelerate your success in this position 

This role is for an HR expert recognized for their rigor, ability to structure, coach, and harmonize practices in a complex and changing environment.

We are looking for someone who:

Has at least 8 years of experience in HR, compensation, HRIS, or project management in an ISP context

Has a bachelor's degree in human resources, administration, science, actuarial science, or operations management

Stands out for their experience in team support, coaching, and practice development

Is recognized for their excellent communication, synthesis, and matrix collaboration skills

Has knowledge of North American HR environments (Canada/United States)

Proficient in HR analysis, project management, and documentation tools

Fluent in French and advanced knowledge of English, as the person will be required to communicate, present, and provide training to employees on a daily basis during new acquisitions and mergers in Canada and the United States.
