About The Role
As a Senior Designer for one of the largest automotive companies in the world, you'll craft pixel-perfect designs while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and technical precision. You'll execute a high volume of design work across various formats, focusing on brand consistency, typography, and functional design principles. This role emphasizes craftsmanship, technical expertise, and design excellence. You bring a progressive creative instinct and positivity, working effectively in teams with a low-ego approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality design assets across digital and print platforms
  • Execute pixel-perfect designs following established brand guidelines
  • Maintain consistent typography, color systems, and design patterns
  • Produce design variations and iterations at high volume
  • Build and maintain organized design systems and asset libraries
  • Create sophisticated layouts with strong grid systems and hierarchy
  • Implement responsive design principles across various formats
  • Execute production-ready files with precise specifications
  • Design within established brand frameworks while maintaining quality
  • Create detailed specifications for design implementation
  • Maintain meticulous file organization and versioning

About You
The essentials:

  • Design Experience: 5+ years in design and branding within advertising and marketing with deep knowledge in print and digital.
  • Resilience Under Pressure: Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet stringent deadlines consistently.
  • Collaborative Design: Work effectively with creative leads and copywriters to achieve brand-aligned, high quality designs.
  • Professional Presentation: Present work effectively with well-reasoned rationale, especially to senior leaders and clients.
  • Critical Thinker: Leverage creative and analytical skills to assess ideas from an arquitectural lens.
  • Brand Consistency: Experience in crafting brand style guides for cohesive touchpoints and the creation of toolkits for design systems.
  • Strategic Discussion: Contribute positively and constructively to discussions from conception through production to final deliverable.
  • Industry Experience: Background in automotive or production industries preferred.
  • Digital Portfolio: A modern, digital-centric portfolio demonstrating excellence across formats (digital, video, social, etc.).
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Slack, and other design and collaboration tools.

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
Salary Range$70,000—$80,000 CAD
