We are hiring
Senior Solutions Designers
to support major SharePoint modernization and migration initiatives across Justice Technology Services (JTS). This role is ideal for senior SharePoint/.NET professionals with deep experience in
SPFx, SharePoint Online, Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, ShareGate migrations, and enterprise-level documentation/testing
.

This is a
hands-on technical role
requiring onsite work and strong collaboration with architects, project managers, and internal OPS teams.

Role Overview
You will design technical and functional specifications, develop migration and rebuild components, participate in JAD sessions, and ensure all work aligns with
OPS (Ontario Public Service) standards
.

Your work includes building
UI components, data services, authentication modules, workflows
, and writing high-quality documentation for testing, deployment, and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop SharePoint 2013/Online components using SPFx, .NET, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, XML, MS Web Services
  • Perform SharePoint migrations (ShareGate, PowerShell), including unit/system/integration testing
  • Create UI components, data synchronization modules, deployment services, and system scripts
  • Develop user authentication and access control components
  • Participate in JAD sessions, walkthroughs, design reviews, and prepare all required OPS-standard documentation
  • Build automated workflows using Azure Logic Apps, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Develop installation packages, deployment plans, status reports, briefing notes, presentations
  • Provide knowledge transfer and ensure all artifacts, documentation, and code are handed off to JTS staff
  • Support special projects, troubleshooting, meetings, and assigned sub-projects

MUST-HAVE Skills
SharePoint / Migration Technologies

  • SharePoint 2013/ SharePoint Online
  • SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • ShareGate migration tool
  • PowerShell scripting
  • SharePoint Designer
  • SharePoint WebParts (KWIZcom or similar)

Microsoft / Cloud Development

  • .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, VB.NET)
  • Power App
  • Power Automate
  • Azure Logic Apps (workflows & integrations)
  • MS Web Services

Technical & Architectural Skills
Experience in programming and analysis at senior level

Experience with structured methodologies (design → implementation → maintenance)

Experience creating authentication/access modules

Experience automating processes via workflows

Database Knowledge
SQL queries, stored procedures, RDBMS fundamentals

Documentation & Testing Experience
Required experience with:

  • JAD sessions / walkthroughs
  • Software architecture documentation (Use Cases, Class Diagrams, Component & State Diagrams)
  • Test documentation, defect tracking, release documentation
  • Unit / System / Integration Testing
  • Output configuration from design sessions
