As a
Health & Safety Coordinator
, you will play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving Lux's safety programs. This is a hands-on position where you'll collaborate across teams to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement health and safety programs across operations
  • Conduct safety training and promote best practices
  • Ensure compliance with Alberta OHS legislation and COR standards
  • Identify and mitigate workplace risks through inspections and assessments
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation and records
  • Support continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices

What you Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience
    leading health and safety programs in manufacturing, construction, or trades environments
  • Strong knowledge of
    Alberta OHS legislation
    , COR requirements, and safety best practices
  • Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations, and safety training
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, collaborative mindset with a passion for safety leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with safety management systems

Qualifications:

  • Training or certification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
  • Familiarity with local safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an asset

Preferred Certifications:

  • NCSO, NHSA, or equivalent OHS certification
  • First Aid / CPR
  • WHMIS Train-the-Trainer
