Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise to analyze, interpret, and present data to support our mission of sustainable energy management. Your contributions will directly influence product development and drive impactful decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to carbon emissions and energy consumption.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to develop data-driven features and models.
  • Design and implement dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Use LLMs (ChatGTP, Gemini, ect) to process an analyze data
  • Translate complex data analysis into actionable recommendations for product enhancements.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve data pipelines and analytics processes.
  • Process raw energy data into proprietary data models.
  • Cleanse and transform data, documenting the transformation logic.
  • Analyze electricity and natural gas data, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and optimize data collection and processing methods.
  • Create, schedule, and optimize data pipelines
  • Act as a data steward, ensuring data governance and accuracy.
  • Map data and contribute to visualization efforts with Viso.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
  • Strong SQL and Postgres skills for database management.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities for data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to present complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for sustainability and interest in energy management and carbon reporting.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector
  • Familiarity with carbon accounting standards and energy markets.
