About Belwood Lodge and Camp

Belwood Lodge and Camp is a welcoming and inclusive summer camp dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. We focus on creating a supportive, fun, and empowering environment where campers/lodgers can thrive, build confidence, and make lifelong friendships.

Position Summary

The Cabin Life Coordinator/Behaviour is the heart of Belwood Lodge and Camp's staff team. This position will be responsible for leading, encouraging, supporting, and supervising cabin staff accordingly, assisting with camper/lodger behaviour needs and help create unforgettable camp memories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and respond to any behaviour questions/concerns as they arise
  • Establish a positive culture and environment for all staff
  • Provide support to staff when needed and be readily available for when issues arise
  • Lead, encourage, support, and supervise cabin staff accordingly
  • Attend and participate in daily Leadership Team meetings, conduct weekly meetings with cabin groups
  • Deliver staff evaluation on a bi-weekly basis
  • Work collaboratively with fellow leadership team members to ensure staff and camper/lodger safety and satisfaction
  • Uphold Belwood Lodge and Camp's values of respect, inclusion, and compassion

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 18+
  • Standard first aid & CPR (required)
  • Criminal background check (required)
  • NVCI certification (an asset)
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and team-oriented
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities (an asset but not required)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and have fun

Rate of Pay and Bonus Pay

  • Rate of Pay: $650.00 per week + 4% vacation pay.
  • Bonus Pay: $50.00 per week of completed contract. (not eligible if employee resigns or is terminated)
