Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will possess dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and quality automotive repairs. The Service Manager will also be responsible for sales growth, upselling services, and maintaining a positive dealership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
  • Supervise and support technicians, ensuring high-quality automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repair options, and ensuring satisfaction
  • Drive sales through upselling additional services and maintenance packages
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper cash handling procedures
  • Monitor department performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
  • Develop and train staff to enhance technical skills and customer service capabilities
  • Collaborate with sales teams to promote service offerings and increase revenue opportunities

Qualifications

  • Proven dealership experience or extensive automotive service management background
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive repair processes
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships
  • Experience in sales, upselling, and cash handling procedures
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Knowledge of automotive repair systems, tools, and industry best practices
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers, technicians, and management
