Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time/Casual Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and service, with a background in kitchen operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and meals while maintaining strict food safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Assist with menu planning to accommodate dietary requirements
  • Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all health regulations and sanitation protocols.
  • Support dietary department initiatives by assisting with meal assembly and special dietary accommodations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Contribute to food presentation and plating to ensure appealing meal displays.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.

Skills

  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry or restaurant settings.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
  • Previous experience in restaurant environment is beneficial
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food service delivery.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week
