Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and enforcement of safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and quick response are essential.

Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
  • Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and ensure security protocols are followed.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate action or escalation as needed.
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
  • Enforce rules and regulations to prevent theft, vandalism, or other unlawful activities.
  • Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention.
  • Conduct security checks on equipment, entrances, exits, and other critical areas regularly.

Experience

  • Prior experience in law enforcement, security services, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with surveillance techniques and CCTV operation is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize theft or damage.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively report incidents and coordinate with team members.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in emergency situations. This role is vital in maintaining a safe environment for all individuals on-site. Candidates should be attentive, responsible, and committed to upholding safety standards at all times.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week

Work Location: In person
