For this position in the Airport candidate must meet the minimum requirements below and as stated in the application questions:

· RAIC( Restricted Area Identity Card) holders will be given preference

· Must have a strong command of English

· Must have a valid Provincial Security License

· Must have a valid Emergency First aid and CPR certification.

· Possess access to a vehicle for transportation (considered an asset)

Duties:

· Successful candidates will need to have a valid Ontario Security Guard license, as well as a clear criminal record, and be able to pass an extensive background screening.

· Successful Candidates must have flexible availability 7 days per week including weekends and holidays.

· Candidates must have reliable transportation to get to and from the airport site as public transit is not available for all shift times.

· Candidates must be willing to perform a variety of duties complete detailed incident reports; respond to threats and other emergencies; provide customer service; access control to restricted areas

  • Monitor and patrol assigned premises by means of physical patrols to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism.
  • Rapid response to security incidents or emergencies by assessing situations accurately and implementing appropriate conflict management strategies.
  • Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate assistance during medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders during incidents or investigations to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incident reports, and shift logs for review.
  • Enforce loss prevention policies by identifying potential vulnerabilities and taking preventative measures to safeguard assets.
  • Apply conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Assist in training new team members on security protocols and emergency procedures as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

· Ontario Security Guard license

· Clear Criminal Record

· Must be able to obtain Restricted Area Clearance (RAIC)

· Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills

· Must have a minimum of one year of Tactical Guard experience.

· Must be able to stand, sit, walk, patrol for extended periods hours)
