JOB DESCRIPTION

A Warehouse Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Store Manager and is responsible for all warehouse activities including inventory accuracy, receiving, shipping and dispatching to ensure customers receive a first in class experience each and every time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact and trainer to the receiver, dispatcher, warehouse associates and drivers ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures while answering daily questions and providing direction, so our inventory is properly managed, and customer expectations are met.
• Ensure that all inbound products are received and put away correctly daily.
• Execution of the bin locating plan to accurately account for inventory.
• Execution of annual inventory cycle counts while identifying product lines that require re-organizations or additional counts to ensure inventory integrity.
• Ensure both accurate and timely order fulfillment of retail, wholesale & e-commerce orders to properly service our customers to meet their expectations.
• Oversee and assist as required with the dispatching of orders, to ensure wholesale customer expectations are met.
• Manage the wholesale return process ensuring that customer returns are picked up, processed and validated daily.
• Perform a weekly inspection of the fleet of delivery vehicles to ensure all damage has been reported and vehicles are both clean and presentable.
• Oversee and manage the returns room ensuring that vendor core & defective returns are processed regularly, following up with vendors as required.
• Ensure that product recalls or inventory integrity issues are reviewed within 24 hours of notification with appropriate action being taken. Assisting with inventory line changeovers and the picking, packing and shipping of supplier returns throughout the year.
• Ensure that all warehouse associates & drivers contribute to the cleanliness of the warehouse work environment daily by providing instruction or assigned tasks as required.
• All other duties as assigned by the store manager for the betterment of both the store and warehouse work environment.
• Proper and respectful communication with peers, superiors and customers when applicable.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Self starter and willingness to be hands to ensure that the job gets done.
• Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with warehouse team.
• Experience in inventory management.
• Experience in dispatching drivers.
• Experience using delivery management software.
• Experience using an ERP system
• A valid Ontario Driver's License.
• A valid Forklift License
• Ability to work well under pressure
