About the Company

We are supporting a buy-side investment firm in the search for an Investment Data & Trade Support Analyst to join its Investment Operations / Data Management function. This role blends hands-on trade support, security setup, data quality, and reconciliation, supporting front-office trading teams and core investment systems.

About the Role

This is a practical, execution-focused role for someone who has worked directly with investment data, trade lifecycle processes, and front-office stakeholders in a live trading environment.

Responsibilities

  • Security Setup & Investment Data Management
  • Set up and maintain securities in the book of record following trade execution
  • Source, validate, and maintain critical security attributes (e.g. coupon, maturity, issue date, yield, pricing)
  • Support a multi-asset environment including fixed income, equities, futures, options, and structured products

  • Execute controls for static data, pricing, and market data across investment systems

  • Trade Support & OMS Interaction

  • Provide operational support to trading teams across the trade lifecycle
  • Support OMS workflows (including Bloomberg AIM where applicable)
  • Act as a point of contact between front office, investment operations, and system vendors

  • Respond to trader and stakeholder queries with speed and accuracy

  • Reconciliations & Issue Resolution

  • Perform daily and end-of-day reconciliations between Bloomberg and the book of record
  • Investigate breaks, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure trade capture, valuation, and lifecycle events are accurately reflected across systems

  • Data Quality & Process Improvement

  • Design and implement data quality checks and reconciliation controls
  • Use SQL and Excel/VBA to extract, validate, and reconcile large data sets
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency

  • Document procedures, controls, and workflows to support governance and transparency

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Investment Accounting, Risk, Compliance, Auditors, and Technology teams
  • Support governance frameworks and regulatory requirements related to investment data
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across investment operations

Qualifications

  • Experience in investment operations, trade support, or investment data management
  • Hands-on experience working with security master data and trade lifecycle processes
  • Strong understanding of capital markets instruments (fixed income, equities, derivatives)
  • Experience reconciling data across multiple investment systems
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL and/or VBA in an operational context
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, front-office–adjacent environment

Required Skills

  • Bloomberg Terminal and/or Bloomberg AIM experience
  • Background in data quality, controls, or investment data governance

Preferred Skills

  • Buy-side experience
  • Experience with SimCorp Dimension
  • You are detail-oriented, engaged, and accountable
  • You are comfortable owning operational processes end-to-end
  • You understand that speed, accuracy, and responsiveness matter
  • You are looking for a longer-term contract with meaningful buy-side exposure
