Yardi Business and Application Support Analyst (Contract)

Romspen is a leading Canadian non-bank mortgage lender specializing in commercial and industrial real estate mortgages. We are seeking a
Contractor (you must be incorporated to invoice) Yardi Business and Application Support Analyst for approximately one year
to join our IT team, as part of the Business Applications Support team. This role provides ongoing functional support for our Yardi environment, working closely with Finance, IT, and operational stakeholders to maintain system stability, improve processes, and support financial compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, understands regulatory and reporting standards, and is highly skilled in data analysis, data governance, and system optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Yardi support requests, troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain and optimize configurations across Yardi modules such as Voyager 7s, Voyager 8 (Elevate), PayScan, AP, AR, GL, Investment Accounting, Procure to Pay, BillPay, and Construction Manager.
  • Ensure accounting accuracy and compliance across financial workflows, policies, and reporting — aligning with internal controls, best practices, audit readiness, and industry regulations.
  • Partner with Finance to strengthen financial processes, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities for efficiency and standardization.
  • Perform data quality reviews, cleanse legacy and active datasets, and establish controls to protect data integrity.
  • Develop SQL queries, reports, and data extracts for Finance, Audit, and operational teams while ensuring accuracy across modules.
  • Support users with day-to-day inquiries, permissions, escalations, and navigation of the Yardi platform.
  • Manage user access in Yardi, including new user setup, YardiOne dashboard configuration, Yardi User file maintenance, and regular access reviews to support internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Maintain documentation including process maps, support guides, configuration logs, and data rules.
  • Lead routine system reviews to monitor performance, validate data, and recommend enhancements or configuration adjustments.
  • Manage change requests — gathering requirements, evaluating impacts, and coordinating testing and sign-off with Finance, IT and others.
  • Coordinate version upgrades, feature releases, patching cycles, and regression testing to ensure system continuity.
  • Provide on-demand and scheduled training for new and existing users, reinforcing best practices and proper accounting usage of the system.
  • Serve as the liaison with Yardi and external partners for escalations, enhancement requests, and integrations.
  • Monitor controls, workflows, and audit trails to ensure accurate financial treatment and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a structured support queue, providing visibility to the Application Support Lead and leadership teams on trends, risks, issue volume, and system health.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting workflows, and regulatory/reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Yardi Voyager or similar ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong financial data analysis skills including reconciliation, transformation, and clean-up of large datasets.
  • At least five years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Accounting Systems Support professional.
  • Experience creating queries, reports, and extracts for Finance stakeholders; SQL is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple support items effectively.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical matters into business-friendly terms.
  • Strong documentation discipline and process-oriented mindset.
  • Continuous improvement mentality, proactive in identifying risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for better system usage.

Expected Hourly Rate Fee:
$65.00 – $75.00.
