Required


• Must be a graduate of an approved school for Laboratory Technologists. (MLT students and new graduates actively pursuing CSMLS certification are welcome to apply).

• Must have current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.

• Technical skills and ability to perform essential duties of the position as determined by Quinte Health.

• Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. (Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) available to review).



Duties


•Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, many of which are complex, involve a number of steps and techniques, and require use of professional judgement.

•Competency tests may be performed in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology (including coagulation), and Immunohematology (Blood Bank).

•Professional application of principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology to be used to produce reliable test results which in turn are used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

•Other duties as assigned.
