About us:

After School Life is seeking reliable, dynamic, and team-oriented Program Leaders to join our team. Our Program Leaders are responsible for leading and implementing our PERFORMING ARTS/DRAMA after-school programs for children in grades K-5.

Job Summary:

A part-time job is responsible for studying the provided curriculum and teaching the children for each given week. Strong time management skills are required as our coaches are expected to start and finish on time while also covering everything that is in the curriculum for that specific session. When teaching a class, maintaining class order is important, as it allows coaches to demonstrate the skills without distractions - resulting in the kids understanding better.

Main Responsibilities:

· Teach PERFORMING ARTS/DRAMA to children in Tri-cities / Coquitlam/Port Moody

· Teach different drills / practices to kids each week

· Friendly and respect school's staff / parents / students

· Strictly follow school's protocols and instructions

· Arrive on time (15 minutes before each session for check-in & set up), also stay 15 min after the class for check-out and clean up if needed, flexible, good with kids, high commitment

· Maintain daily attendance records

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Must be at least 19 years of age

· A proven knowledge of PERFORMING ARTS/DRAMA with at least 2 year coaching experience

· Knowledge of working with children, social and emotional learning, physical literacy, group management, behavior management, and counseling

· Experience in planning and leading activities for groups of children in a recreational setting

· Current criminal record check (or willing to consent)

Hours of Work :

-*_This is a part-time contract position working weekday afternoon shifts (must be available between 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm,) and the amount will be payable based on 1 hour session includes check-in/set-up & check-out/clean-up times as mentioned above.*_
