IntroductionReporting to the Principal, the Early Childhood Educator works directly with children and is a member of the pre-primary program team that:
- Uses the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework create a safe, nurturing environment for children in the Pre-primary Program
Designs and implements age appropriate activities and program plans that promote learning through play, creativity, and exploration.
Monitors and assesses each child's progress, identifying areas that may require additional support or intervention.
Regularly communicates with families to share updates on their child's progress and discuss any concerns or developmental needs.
Minimum Requirements- A diploma or degree in early childhood education from a recognized institution;
- Recent experience (within last 5 years) working with pre-school children in an early learning environment; and,
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR - C
