Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student development, and delivering engaging instruction. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a genuine commitment to supporting children's educational and emotional growth. Experience in early childhood education, special education, or working with children with disabilities is highly valued. Bilingual abilities in English and French are a plus, as well as proficiency in computer operation and organizational skills.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities
  • Utilize technology and computer skills to enhance instructional delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student achievements
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through leadership and communication skills
  • Organize classroom activities that promote social-emotional development and early childhood education principles
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure a secure learning environment for all students

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience or childcare roles
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is desirable
  • Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and organize classroom activities efficiently
  • Excellent writing skills for documentation and communication purposes
  • Leadership qualities that inspire trust and motivate students
  • Proficiency in computer operation and use of educational software or tools
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in early childhood education, teaching, or related fields are advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams of educators, support staff, students, and families
