We are currently looking for an individual to work as an:

ASSISTANT MANAGER - ACCOUNTING

Position Details:

  • Reports to the Senior Manager of Administration
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable activities; support as required
  • Manage and control Fixed Assets; perform annual Fixed Asset audit
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate semiannual audit activities with external auditors
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Completion of month end reports
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and actual vs budget variance analysis
  • Coordinate quarterly physical inventory counts
  • Monitor department expense spending
  • Approval of purchase orders
  • Monitor and ensure financial systems and controls are functioning properly
  • Sales price, BOM, and added value analysis
  • Assist with various projects and supporting tasks as needed
  • Full-time position with benefits after three months of employment

Candidate Profile:

  • Post-secondary Accounting education
  • Accounting designation is an asset
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles and ASPE
  • Experience in a supervisory role is preferred
  • Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
