About the Role
We are looking for a full-time, contract Soccer Coach & Summer Supervisor to support the continued growth of our soccer programs in Calgary. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, hands-on coach who loves working with young children and is ready to step into a leadership role during the summer season.
The successful candidate will begin with paid training in late February, deliver school-based soccer classes throughout the spring, and then transition into a Supervisor role during our summer soccer camps. Based on performance and program demand, there is strong potential to extend the contract beyond September to continue delivering paid school programs.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Program Delivery (Spring and Ongoing)
- Deliver fun, engaging, and age-appropriate soccer classes for children ages 3–8
- Lead soccer demos and classes in preschools, daycares, and schools
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Build strong relationships with children, educators, and school partners
- Travel between program locations as required
Supervision & Leadership (Summer Months)
- Act as Soccer Supervisor during the summer season
- Support, mentor, and supervise seasonal soccer staff
- Assist with staff training, scheduling, and on-site leadership
- Ensure program quality, safety, and consistency across locations
- Serve as a key point of contact for staff, families, and internal teams
Training & Preparation
- Attend paid in-person training from February 23–27 (in Calgary)
- Learn and deliver programming aligned with curriculum and brand standards
- Participate in ongoing feedback and professional development
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong soccer coaching experience, particularly with children aged 3–8
- Experience coaching in schools, daycares, or early childhood settings is an asset
- Supervisor or management experience in a soccer or sports environment is preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must have reliable personal transportation and be comfortable traveling locally
Compensation & Benefits
- Weekly Salary: $ $ per 40-hour work week
- Vacation: 2 weeks Pro-rated based on contract length
- Gas card provided for work-related travel
- Opportunity for contract extension beyond September
