Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician_ 3 year apprentice _ to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience in a dealership environment. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is required; dealership experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required during repairs (up to 50 pounds).
  • Familiarity with automotive schematics and assembly processes is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
