IRONWORKERS

Highly skilled Ironworkers, connectors needed for commercial projects. Long term employment offered, not based per project. Projects currently in Alberta and BC.

Responsibilities

  • Erect steel structures according to specifications and blueprints
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Operate mobile elevated work platforms
  • Install rigging and other components on construction sites
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance codes & standards
  • Collaborate with Foreman on site to ensure timely project completion
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Fall Protection Certificate as well as Mobile Elevated Platform Certificate to be able to perform tasks at height utilizing fall protection equipment as well as MEWP – Fall Protection end user certification/ - Mobile Elevated Work Platform certification
  • Proven experience in commercial construction site environments
  • Ability and willingness to work at heights both directly on the steel and utilizing EWP
  • Familiarity with cranes signals, rigging, and equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • CSTS as well as WHMIS
  • Journeyperson Certificate would be an asset Wages based on red seal certification.
  • Work in various site conditions, in town and out of town, with overtime as needed
