Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and service are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling.
  • Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of hospitality.
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures.
  • Support team management activities including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Oversee restaurant cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health codes.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.

Experience

  • Proven supervising or team management experience within the food service or restaurant industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms.
  • Background in food industry roles such as server, bartender (barista experience), or kitchen staff is preferred.
  • Previous restaurant management or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to interview and train new staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required. This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about the food industry who are eager to develop their leadership skills within a supportive environment committed to excellence in hospitality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
