We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the repair process. This role requiresi a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess collision damage and identify necessary repairs.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair procedures, costs, and timelines in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with technicians, parts departments, and insurance adjusters to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs.
  • Assist customers with questions regarding repairs, insurance claims, and payment options.
  • Upsell additional services or repairs that may benefit the customer while maintaining transparency and integrity.
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions for reporting purposes.

Experience

  • Prior dealership experience or experience as an automotive body shop estimator is highly preferred.
  • Mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge is a strong asset for understanding vehicle damage assessments.
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
  • Experience in sales or upselling services to customers is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes, parts ordering, and insurance procedures is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and cash handling procedures is desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise combined with excellent customer service skills are valued. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality repairs while ensuring a positive experience for our customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
